Borie Manoux was originally founded in Pauillac under the name of Eugene Borie Frères, taking its permanent name after the second world war when its directors decided to separate and Marcel Borie took control of the company. He directed the company until his son-in-law Emile Casteja took over in 1961, who is now succeeded by his son, Phillipe Casteja. In addition to the distribution of the second most important brand in Bordeaux, Beau Rivage, Borie Manoux controls a large number of Châteaux in prestigious Médoc appellations including Château Batailley, Château Haut Bages Monpelou and Château Beau Site as well as Château Trottevieille and Château Bergat in St Emilion.
