Rosé Wines

Anjou -Saumur is a district of the Loire Valley. The soils in the district vary from east to west in the district. In the west the soil is schistous, with a warm shallow topsoil, ideal for ripening the grapes in summer and storing the heat. On the eastern side of the district, the soil is limestone, out of which famous underground caves have been carved. The Anjou district covers an area of approximately 2,700 hectares and the most famous wine produced here is the " Rosé d’Anjou".
