Red Wines

The three sons of Joseph Sabon are the fourth generation to make wine they describe as "well-structured, highly aromatic and long in the mouth". They produce traditional Chateauneuf-du-Pape from 59 acres of vineyards. Mr Sabon often allows 6-8 years for cask maturation in large oak "foudres", a slow development before bottling and excellent for laying down. The family also own 20 acres of vineyards at Boltere in the Vaucluse where they produce Cotes du Rhone wines.
