The history of the Château de Rouquette, dates back to 1740 when M. Rouquette built this monastery on his 52 hectare estate. At this same time vines were planted and Noble Late Harvest wines were produced. In 1962 Guy Darriet, seventh generation of the Darriet family winemakers , bought the exceptional 4 hectares of vines situated on the top of the hill. The vines have an average age of 50 years old producing rich and complex wines. Loupiac is a sweet wine appellation on the right bank of the Garonne in the Bordeaux region, France. The vineyards overlook the river and are well situated to benefit from noble rot.
