Leabrook Estate Pinot Gris

Tasting Note: This wine is made in a style with intermediate palate weight between the more savory Sauvignon Blanc and the richer fuller bodied Chardonnay. The wine has excellent cleansing acidity balancing the subtle fruit flavours of apples and pears, while retaining pleasant mouth feel. This wine was produced from vines yielding less than 2 tonnes per acre and his intensity of fresh fruit flavours is evident on the palate.The intense fruit flavours give a sense of sweetness that compliment many styles of dish. This latest release follows the style and tradition of the 04 Vintage that was highly acclaimed by Jancis Robinson and awarded 4½ stars by James Halliday and the 2005 Vintage classed by Decanter as the "Best of the New Releases".
