Tasting Note: The Dornfelder grape is a cross breeding of the Helfensteiner and the Heroldrebe varieties and was developed in 1956 in order to produce red wines with good depth of colour, good acidity and aromatic fruit not normally associated with Germany. A dry red wine of good colour and body with soft tannins. Will age for 2 to 3 years from vintage.
